10. Parkway Drive


Parkway Drive is an Australian metalcore band from Byron Bay, New South Wales, formed in 2003. As of 2015, Parkway Drive has released five full-length albums, one EP, two DVDs, a split album and one book, titled Ten Years of Parkway Drive.


9. Asking Alexandria


    
Asking Alexandria are an English metalcore band from York, North Yorkshire formed initially in 2008 by lead guitarist Ben Bruce along with former lead singer Danny Worsnop, bassist Joe Lancaster, keyboardist and synth player Ryan Binns, and current members drummer James Cassells and rhythm guitarist Cameron Liddell. Lancaster and Binns later departed from the band in 2009 with Lancaster joining heavy metal band With One Last Breath. Bassist Sam Bettley joined the band that same year, and in January 2015 Worsnop departed to focus on his new band We Are Harlot and was later replaced by Denis Stoff of Down & Dirty and Make Me Famous. The band has released four studio albums, their most recent being The Black, which was released on 25 March 2016.

They have now started writing for other bands too, they wrote 'Find My Way' for their friends band FROM INSIDE which is due out Summer 2016. Details of other projects they are working are set to be released on the AA facebook page.


8.  Bring Me The Horizon


Bring Me the Horizon is a British rock band from Sheffield, Yorkshire. Formed in 2004, the group currently consists of vocalist Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, drummer Matt Nicholls, and keyboardist Jordan Fish. They are signed to RCA Records globally and Columbia Records exclusively in the US. The style of their early work, including their debut album Count Your Blessings, has primarily been described as deathcore, but they started to adopt a more eclectic style of metalcore on subsequent albums. Furthermore, their latest album That's the Spirit marked a shift in their sound to less aggressive rock music styles.

They have now started writing for other bands too, they wrote 'Find My Way' for their friends band FROM INSIDE which is due out Summer 2016.

This band is best known for several songs on the album "There is a hell, believe me, I've seen it. There is a heaven, let's keep it a secret" And, as of July 2017, "Blasphemy" is a very popular song on US radio stations.


7. Avenged Sevenfold


Avenged Sevenfold is an American alternative rock band, that was formed 1999 in California. Their longest lineup of members was M. Shadows (Vocals), Synyster Gates (Lead Guitar), Zacky Vengeance (Rhythm Guitar), Johnny Christ (Bass Guitar), and The Rev (Drums).

Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan (Drums), their most notable drummer, passed away in 2009, being temporarily replaced by Mike Portnoy, who was replaced by Arin Ilejay, who was finally replaced with Brooks Wackerman. A common phrase for fans "foREVer" was created after the Rev's death in his remembrance.

With the bands debut album "Sounding the Seventh Trumpet" they started with producing metalcore music, until they changed their sound into alternate metal with the album "City of Evil".

The band is best known for songs, like "Afterlife" or "Nightmare", and sometimes "A Little Piece of Heaven". They have created over ten albums.

Since 1999 Avenged Sevenfold or A7X for short became one of the most well-known modern rock bands with an immense fanbase.

All That Remains is an American heavy metal band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1998. They have released eight studio albums, a live CD/DVD, and have sold over a million records worldwide.


5. August Burns Red


August Burns Red is an American metalcore band from Manheim, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2003, the group began their first performances while a majority of the members were attending their senior year of high school, and soon began playing shows around Lancaster, before being signed to CI Records. Afterwards, they were signed to Solid State Records, and most recently to Fearless Records. Prominent features of their music include heavy breakdowns and odd-meter riffs as well as often lyrics covering topics such as depression, social tolerance, and grief at the death of a loved one.

4. Bullet for My Valentine


Bullet for My Valentine are a Welsh metalcore/emo band from Bridgend, formed in 1998. The band is composed of Matthew Tuck (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Michael Paget (lead guitar, backing vocals), Michael Thomas (drums) and Jamie Mathias (bass guitar). Former members include Nick Crandle and Jason James; both were on bass. They were formed under the name Jeff Killed John and started their music career by covering songs by Metallica and Nirvana. Jeff Killed John recorded six songs which were not released; two of these tracks were reworked later in their career as Bullet for My Valentine. Financial difficulties dictated the name change, which was followed by a change in music direction. In 2002, the band secured a five-album deal with Sony BMG.

3. Trivium


Trivium is an American Heavy Metal band from Orlando, Florida, formed in 1999. Their frontman, Matt Heafy, lead guitarist Corey Beaulieu and Bassist Paulo Gregoletto are the band's most consistent members and have appeared in every album since.

Trivium released their debut album, Ember to Inferno, in 2003 under Lifeforce Records. A moderate success, Trivium would later sign to Roadrunner Records a year later and establish further critical and commercial success from there on. They have currently released 8 studio albums.

Their musical style has been a subject of change with each album. Ember to Inferno is noted for being Metalcore, with all of their later work having a lot of influence based on Thrash Metal. From their fourth album, Shogun, and onward, Trivium started incorporating elements of Progressive Metal and Traditional Heavy Metal throughout much of their songs.

As I Lay Dying is an American metalcore band from San Diego, California. Founded in 2000 by vocalist Tim Lambesis, the establishment of the band's first full lineup, which included drummer Jordan Mancino, occurred in 2001. As I Lay Dying has released six albums, one split album, and two compilation albums.
